The Story of the Kite and the Wind
The Story of the Kite and the Wind drifts between allegory and memory, following a kite and the wind through city streets, ancestral mountains, and quiet family rituals. Shot in Wenzhou during the winter of 2025—on the filmmaker’s first visit to their ancestral hometown after the passing of a grandfather—the film blends experimental voice-over with documentary imagery. Through the kite’s search for flight, the work reflects on roots, belonging, and the silent ways in which stories, like wind, are carried across generations.

Behind the Medals--Documentary
A documentary about retired athletes, their past, their present, and their future. This documentary hopes to raise the awareness of people on the issue of retired athletes and turn thoughts into actions and provide help to both retired athletes and young current athletes.
Version 55

A short film made at SSBS's Short Film Club. A Director and an Audience were arguing over how to edit a scene of a film. They eventually started discussing broader concepts of what roles film, or more generally art, should play in people's lives. As they were arguing, they walked into the setting where the previously mentioned film was shot. They experience a hypothetical traverse into that film's world and "role-played" the characters inside, using the characters' relationship and actions to mirror what they assert in the argument.

Crescendo
Made at Northwestern University's NHSI Summer program, this short film depicts an alienated student that has a deep love for music. Meeting another student on the road to school one day, they found out they both like the same band and form connections through music.
